Our friends over at CerebralItch.com have gone hog-wild over this Chuck Todd character, and apparently their over-the-top fan-worship has been worth it, because recently their site was shown on MSNBC while anchors giggled and teased Todd about it. Our world is now so dominated by these signs and simulacra that they have become our reality. There is no other reality beyond them to which they could refer. Since the signs are not supposed to relate to anything beyond themselves, it makes no sense to ask what they mean. So the problem of meaning simply disappears.
