The new site includes an expanded Community section divided into 5 creative professions (artists, designers, filmmakers, models and writers), as well as a Usergroups and dediacted Forums. Newly-added features include User Points, Buddy Lists, Polls and Favorites, turning this site into both a blog and a community.
One of the most popular gossip blogs for the pre-teen set, oceanUP brings you all the latest news on Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and other stars from hit shows on Disney, Nickelodeon and elsewhere. Beginning life as a Wordpress blog, then transitioning to Moveable Type, oceanUP recently decided to step up to an industrial-strength Drupal installation.
The latest addition to the sprawling empire of the CerebralItch Network is a presence site for the company's creative agency services. Five Stars Creative is the video production company of award-winning photographer Matt McColl. When the company needed a dynamic CMS to give them complete control over their growing collection of high-quality FLV files, Axis CMS was the answer. The Axis database was modified to store video information, and some AJAX tricks were used to create the dynamic goodness of the "Screening Room" pages.
CerebralItch eCards are coming to the iPhone! This promotional site - the latest addition to the CerebralItch Network - was launched in April 2009 to pre-announce the upcoming (June 2009) release of their hilarious iPhone App. With art by by Paul Chamberlain, the site features a browsable gallery of cards and invitations, using the popular Shadowbox system to display them in slideshow format.
Another happy WordPress-to-Drupal migration, Celebrity Baby Scoop is (you guessed it) the place to go for up-to-the-minute information on celebrity babies, and celebrities who have them. The site features a growing community of self-styled User Groups, a custom AJAX-driven Slideshow demonstrating the power of jQuery, and an expectancy calendar indicating all the upcoming due-dates of the stars. In 2009 an upgrade and expansion was required for the flagship publication of Portovert LLC, creators of Portovert.com (praised as "The Number 1 Green Wedding Site" by Martha Stewart Weddings). This Drupal-based Green Wedding site now includes a tagged, searchable Shopping section and a popular Green Wedding Guide, in addition to the feature articles and photogalleries of its predecessor.
The presence and publishing site of Nevada Association Services uses our Axis-CMS system to create and manage a growing number of releases, photogalleries and PDF publications. Designed by Casey Weisel of Kaleidos Creative, the site makes liberal use of AJAX trickery and incorporates the Shadowbox slideshow system.
A complex and evolving magazine with a dedicated community site, Asiance Magazine is a good example of a highly customized Drupal theme. In migrating the site from Drupal 4 to Drupal 5, we faced a number of challenges due to lack of support for discontinued modules. Many of the site's features required custom-coding to retain compatibility with legacy data structures. Design and Flash programming by Jondela Design.
The portfolio/presence site of the architectural engineering firm StructuralFocus takes advantage of the Axis CMS system and pushes it to its limits. The site features a number of dynamic animated effects using AJAX and the Prototype library, as well as a "gallery" feature which is a modified version of Shadowbox.
