MAAS Members are seriously, perhaps dangerously, interested in playing and discussing all types of Roleplaying Games, Storygames and Interactive Fiction Games. We are not all experts - some far from it - but what we share is a devotion to playing the game rules as they were intended, without turning them into random silliness or parodies of themselves.
In some sun-bleached barn outside Sacramento, CA c. 2099 a group of physicists, shady g-men, grad-students, tourists and an array of amateur explorers and nü-gonzo-revivalist writer-dudes gather around a collection of strange vehicles that resemble lunar landers. Each is painted a garish colour and prepped to "shift" along an angle of slippage into a crazy new plane of existence.

In early 2010 AIP implemented a custom solution for the Feed Field module, which was originally created by Promet Source. After patching several issues, adding new features and killing several bugs, we became co-maintainers of this important contrib module, which allows a Drupal site to dynamically import RSS or ATOM content into designated CCK fields.
When the owners of DrinkTown wanted to expand their services to include automated promotion of bar specials in the Chicago area, they contacted AIP. We created a custom Drupal Module for them called "Tweet Cron", which uses input from bar owners and customers to keep Chicago bar patrons informed of daily specials via automated Twitter messages, or "tweets".
The As If Collective is a network of roleplayers, gamers, GMs, Game Designers, artists and neophiles interested in exploring and contributing to experimental applications of narrative engineering. Every month I do 2-4 Releases: each is a minigame, a subsystem, an adventure, a table/chart, a form/sheet, or a web-based tool which will be of interest to Roleplayers, Storygamers and Interactive Fictioneers. As a member of the Collective, you get early access to all of these works in both draft and final form, with the added knowledge that you helped make them happen. Click Here.
